- Born on May 21, 1873, in Deutsch-Lonk in West Prussia.
- Married Lina Hirschfeld, born on June 6, 1873.
- Four children, born in Schwetz, West Prussia: Hedwig, born on July 10, 1899; Elsa, born on August 25, 1900; Martin, born in 1902, passed away in 1910; Siegbert, born on March 6, 1904.
- In 1920, relocated to Lübeck from Hamburg.
- Managed the Lübeck branch of the women's and girls' clothing store Gebr. Hirschfeld at Breite Straße 39-41 with his brother-in-law Hermann Schild and his son Siegbert. The commercial building with apartments, medical practices, and law offices was family-owned.
- Actively involved in the Jewish community and other committees of Jewish organizations.
- Expropriated ("Aryanized") during the course of 1938.
- Deported to Riga on December 6, 1941, along with his wife Lina and daughter Elsa.
- Presumably shot to death in the Bikernieki Forest in March 1942, at the age of 68.
