The Emmering family lived at Engelswisch 29.

Franziska Rosa Emmering, née Blumenthal, (b. 1907) escaped with her little daughter Ingrid E. (b. 1931) from the Nazis to the Netherlands in 1935. When the Germans had occupied the Netherlands they were interned at camp Westerbork. In 1943 they were deported  to Sobibor, an extermination camp in south east Poland.

Here they were murdered 11 June 1943.

The father, Aron Adolf Emmering (b. 1904) had already escaped to the Netherlands in 1934. He was also interned at Westerborg after the occupation and deported to Sobibor in 1943, where he was murdered 9 July 1943.
